Dec. 9 - Texas RollerGirls vs. Assassination City Roller Derby

The winds of anticipation are blowing through Dallas this weekend, as Assassination City Roller Derby takes on the inventors of women's flat track roller derby, the Texas RollerGirls from Austin. Don't get caught in the crossfire!

Come on out to Dad's Broadway Skateland, 3022 Moon Drive in Mesquite this Sunday, Dec.9.

In the most anticipated rematch of the season, aptly dubbed the Lone Star Lowdown, your Dallas league will be skating hard and fast to bring you a brutal battle royale that your friends won't believe...even when you show them your bruises! Special guest Joe Tucker will be performing his unique blend of one man blues at halftime, and DJ Sista Whitenoise will be providing the soundtrack to this merciless grudge match.

Doors at 7pm. Tickets $10 in advance, $15 at the door. Buy tickets at Pluckers in Old Town, CD World (Mockingbird), SkateBus Skate Shop in Frisco, Armhole, Dad's Broadway Skateland, the DoubleWide, or online at ACDerby.com. These girls are tough, but also have hearts, and will be hosting a toy drive benefitting Buckner Famliy Services at the bout.. Bring an unwrapped toy for a child age 13-17 and receive a raffle ticket for great prizes like an autographed copy of our 2008 ACRD calendar! Season passes are available for purchase at the door for $85, and include entry to all season bouts, VIP seating, a t-shirt, a trucker hat, and a sticker. Kids 10 and under are free. And as always, BYOB (no glass) and bring your own chair (so you can reach for your beer easier!)
